Andrew Martin

Andrew Martin is an entrepreneur, CPA, financial professional, and politician. He graduated Binghamton University (BS in Accounting 1986, MS in Accounting 1989). He received National Association of Accountants Award of Excellence in Graduate Studies in 1989, became a Certified Public Accountant (1989), and Certified Fraud Examiner (1995). Aside from Andrew’s accounting career spanning over 31 years, he is very involved in the community not only with his involvement in politics but also with his entrepreneurial work. Andrew was elected to the Nevada State Assembly (2012-2014), representing District 9 (southwest Las Vegas) on November 7, 2012 and served on the Health and Human Services Committee, Judiciary Committee and Legislative
Operations and Elections Committee. Andrew was appointed by Governor Gibbons as a Commissioner on the Nevada Economic Forum (2010-2012) which is an independent panel of five experts who establish revenue estimates for the state. Andrew served on the Clark County School District Bond Oversight Committee from 2009-2011 which provides financial, bond and investment oversight of the district’s capital improvement program to ensure accountability. He served as Clark County, NV Democratic Party Chair (2011), First Vice Chair (2009-2011), and currently chairs the Special Audit Committee. Andrew has been member of the central committee of the county and state Democratic parties since 2007. He is married to Dana Barooshian and they reside in Las
Vegas, NV.
